At 163 Sargeant Street in Holyoke is a former National Guard Armory, originally called the M.V.M. Armory for the Massachusetts Volunteer Militia.
This iconic Holyoke building faces the same fate as many similar structures as leaking roofs cause alarming deterioration of both interiors and - eventually - exteriors. Recent examination showed extensive deterioration of the exterior brickwork.
